IDAHO COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN’S CLUB
The regular monthly meeting was called to order by newly elected President Patricia Menough on February 10, 2025 at 12:10 pm at the Trails Restaurant.
Marlene Wood led the prayer and Pledge of Allegiance..
Lu Crea made a motion for the January 2025 meeting minutes to be approved. Cherylyn Kerley seconded. Motion Passed
Bobbie Blakley, Treasurer presented the Treasurer’s report. Bank balance was $636. $200 Deposited since last meeting. New Balance $836. Sue Kinner motioned to approve the Treasurers report and Cherylyn Kerley seconded. Motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
President Patricia Menough called for a new committee to be formed: Publicity Chair. No volunteers stepped forward. Cherylyn will handle any publicity for 3 months and then Darlene will handle the next 3 months. Sue Kinner made a motion to accept these temporary Publicity Chairs and Mary Mangold seconded.
President Patricia Menough asked the ICRWC ladies present if they would want to add a Chaplain to ICRWC for inspirational thought and to lead our meeting prayers. No one raised a hand for that addition. Lu Crea stepped up to do the prayer for the March meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
President Patricia Menough raised the topic of the ICRWC 5 baskets for the Lincoln Day Dinner. (1) Kathy Miller > Gardening Wheelbarrow with garden supplies. (2) and (3) Lu Crea and Cristy Imus > Winter Picnic Basket and Pasta Basket. (4) Mary Mangold mentioned we could include the Wine Basket Donation from Pietro & Patricia DeSantis. (5) Marlene Wood with a Candles Basket.
Lincoln Day Dinner setup is scheduled for 4pm on Friday afternoon and Saturday 3:30pm Debbie ONeil is going to handle the Pizza for Homeschooler kids.
Future Speakers Suggestions:
Suggestions made to invite a speaker from the Home Schoolers Group. And also Business Manager from the Mountain View School District to provide info about the current “Cost per Student” and other info, also to answer questions from the ICRWC group of attendees.
BASKET RAFFLE: Rachel Beeson was the winner of the basket raffle and donated back. Lu Crea won the second drawing and took home a nice basket of items.
Next meeting is Monday, March 10th, 2025 at the Trail’s Restaurant.
Cherylyn Kerley made a motion to adjourn and Mary Mangold seconded and motion passed at approximately 2:10pm.
